How to Take Care of the Sugar Bomb Punch Variety During Vegetation?

Start cultivation with standard steps for germination. Soak the seed in a cup of water for 48 hours until the taproot emerges. You can then transplant the seed in a pot. One option to consider is a 7.5 liter pot with buffered coco fiber substrate (it can be a combination of non-fertilized and lightly-fertilized). You can additionally coat with a worm casting solution (e.g., Atami Worm Delight).

This nutrient-rich mix will provide for an excellent start for the seedling, with abundance of beneficial micro-organisms and slow-release nutrients. For the first two weeks, the plant can be fed with a light nutrient solution consisting of Root-C, Growth-C, Alga-C, Cal-Mag and enzyme-based soil improver at a concentration of 3 ml per liter.

Four weeks in, you can perform LST using gardening wire to gently bend the branches. This will widen the plant’s structure, promote light penetration and stimulate uniformed buds formation. Before entering flowering, Sugar Bomb Punch cannabis plants can be pruned around the lower parts to direct the plant’s energy to its top two internodes.

At this point, you can also increase fertilizer dispensing to 5 ml per liter. Replenish the substrate with another layer of organic worm casting to further improve nutrient availability.

How to Proceed with Sugar Bomb Punch Plants During Flowering?

Flowering stage means that the light should be switched to 12/12. Temperature in the grow tent should be adjusted to around 74°F (23.5°C) and humidity to 50%. You can optimize air circulation by installing two oscillating fans.

During this time, plants can receive the same nutrient mixture at 5 ml per liter. Three weeks in, Sugar Bomb Punch should complete its stretching phase, considerably increasing its width to fill a corner of the grow tent. The plant should already have a well-rounded umbrella-like canopy. Buds are supposed to develop early on. By week five or six, the plant should take a classic indica shape: tight, spongy and rounded. You can add a stimulator solution (1 ml per liter) three times at this point to stimulate resin production and promote explosive bud growth. Tonify with worm casting if needed.

The buds should give off a sweet, candy-like aroma with creamy undertones, filing the tent with a delicious perfume. After day 40 of flowering, the resin-cladded buds should be glistening under the LED lights, hinting at the plant’s impressive hash-making potential. By day 50, the plant will display an astonishing palette of colors, with fan-shaped leaves fading to pink, orange and green. Buds will develop magenta-tipped calyxes covered with large, shiny trichomes. Reduce plant feeding to 3 ml per liter while increasing on soil enhancer to 15 ml per liter as the flowering cycle nears its end.

Ultimately, the Sugar Bomb Punch plants will produce compact and dense buds covered with vibrant shades of green, pink and purple. Most buds will be heavily coated with resin.

Chop the plant and hang the material upside down in a drying tent to preserve its resinous trichomes. You can collect the sugar-coated leaves and freeze for bubble hash extraction.

Enjoy growing your Sugar Bomb Punch cannabis plants!
