Snoop Dogg Opens Coffeeshop in Amsterdam

Snoop Dogg’s Amsterdam-based S.W.E.D. coffeeshop officially opened in the beginning of August. S.W.E.D. stands for Smoke Weed Every Day. The menu has a rich offering of Cali weed but also local Dutch specials. Snoop Dogg is expected to make an appearance in Amsterdam after the Paris Olympics close.
Snoop Dogg + Amsterdam, it smells like the win-win formula in the world of cannabis. Snoop’s brand new Amsterdam S.W.E.D. coffeeshop officially opened its doors on Aug. 1. The legend could not make it on that special day as he took other duties in Paris, serving as the official U.S. Olympic torchbearer. But no doubt he will stop by after the sporting event to check out his second S.W.E.D. store. He opened the first S.W.E.D. cannabis dispensary earlier this summer in Los Angeles, so basically, he has now taken his marijuana venture global.
Extensive Cali Cannabis Offerings on the Dutch Menu
Whoever stops by S.W.E.D. they can pick from a nice assortment of buds, with a lot of Cali weed, of course. This perfectly makes sense since Snoop Dogg also has his own Death Row Cannabis.
All strains offered on the S.W.E.D. Amsterdam menu were personally chosen by Snoop, according to a press release. The Cali offerings include: SFV OG, LA Pop, LA Runtz, Gelato 41, Double Runtz, Blue Basquiat, Candy Warhol, Spicy Ramen and Beso. In addition, there is also a fine selection of local Dutch weed with familiar stoners like Amnesia Haze among the 10 strains there.
Hash lovers can choose between dry-sift and traditional Moroccan offerings. There are also specials and pre-rolled joints and edibles, along with a wide assortment of drinks and snacks. Because hooray, Snoop’s Amsterdam S.W.E.D. store happily offers all the space you need to consume your purchases on the spot.
What is Snoop Dogg saying about his new coffeeshop? “Amsterdam has always embraced cannabis, and so have I,” he said in the press release. “It’s only right that I bring S.W.E.D. global to this iconic city that understands the joy of great cannabis and a good time.”
Where can you find Snoop’s coffeeshop in Amsterdam? The correct address is at Marnixstraat 333, 1016 TC Amsterdam. Formerly the location of the Funky Monkey coffeeshop.
Snoop’s Amsterdam weed shop comes weeks after he opened S.W.E.D. Los Angeles, near L.A.X. airport, to serve users in the areas of Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, El Segundo, Culver City, Hawthorne and Inglewood.
S.W.E.D. cannabis dispensaries are an extension of Death Row Cannabis, which Snoop Dogg took over in 2022. To mark the store’s opening, the legend also announced the launch of a new line of cannabis in honor of late rapper Tupac. “That first blunt sparked a friendship that ran deep,” Snoop said in a statement.
“We’ll always have his music, but this is another way I can bring what was meaningful to 2Pac to his fans,” he said.
