Stoner movies are almost like extinct dinosaur species. However, the directorial debut of pop-punk musicians Machine Gun Kelly aka Colson Baker and Mod Sun, titled Good Mourning, is poised to rekindle interest in the iconic sub-genre.

Good Mourning features A-list actress Megan Fox, although it's only expected to be a cameo. Produced by Cedar Park Studios and distributed by Open Road Films, the movie also features Becky G, Whitney Cummings, Dove Cameron, GaTa, Zach Villa, Jenna Boyd and Boo Johnson, with a special appearance by Pete Davidson as well. Chris Long and Jib Polhemus are both involved as producers.

The Bloody Valentine singer and Mod Sun's directorial debut stars Baker as London Ransom, a movie star whose life goes upside down after receiving an unexpected break-up text on the most important day of his career.

"Compounded by chaotic roommates and wildly unpredictable twists and turns, London's day keeps going downhill until ultimately, he is forced to choose between pursuing his one true love and landing a life-changing, starring role in a major motion picture," the plot of the movie reads.

"We are looking forward to bringing this wild comedy to audiences in theaters and at home on demand. The film is a reminder of how fun movies can be to make and watch," said in a statement Open Road Films CEO Tom Orteneberg. "Colson and this incredible cast will bring audiences to their knees in laughter and leave their jaws on the floor."

Co-founder and co-CEO of Cedar Park Studios, Chris Long, said "we couldn't be more excited to be working with first-time filmmakers Colson and Mod.

"Bold in their approach, they have assembled a troupe of top-tier talent to join them on this hilarious ride. We're ecstatic to be part of their filmmaking debut," he added.

The trailer for the movie was released on 4/20. The U.S. theatrical and TVOD release is scheduled for May 20.
