When Chong Meets Paradise... Cannabis Legend teams up with Dutch Seed bank
If you smoke cannabis, then you know Tommy Chong... he is one half of the counterculture comedy duo, Cheech and Chong, who put weed on the map with movies like Up in Smoke. The man who said famously “If more people were stoned, there would be less violence in the world”, Tommy has been a cannabis advocate since the 1970s, working to gain acceptance of the plant for medical and recreational use.
With the legalized cannabis scene in the USA booming, Tommy Chong is the latest member of the cannabis royalty to launch a product range. He is bringing his lifetime’s experience as a weed user to Chong’s Choice, the company he runs with his son, Paris, and the products include a range of weed that carries the famous name.

- Mendocino Skunk (Hybrid). This new strain is inspired by a meeting of great cannabis traditions – in the form of California’s Emerald Triangle and Holland’s Amsterdam coffeeshop scene. This transatlantic combination has created a fruity skunk in the tradition of Paradise Seeds’ best selling Wappa strain. What’s the story behind this Paradise Seeds and Chong’s Choice collaboration? “We were originally approached by Chong’s Choice to make joints for their ready rolled range,” explains Paradise Luc. “But we got talking and it was suggested that we collaborate and work together on some new seed varieties.
How could we say no to the chance of working with such a cannabis legend? We were always big fans of Cheech and Chong back in the day.
