The leading medical cannabis fair in Europe
Growmed is the leading medical cannabis fair in Europe. Its 2012 edition was a great success. The Growmed team is already working hard to ensure that the 2013 edition will be bigger and better, with plenty of new features and surprises. The fair will be held on the 19, 20 and 21 of April at Feria de Valencia, one of the most important fairgrounds in Europe.

Soft Secrets was the organiser of the renowned Highlife fairs – pioneering hemp fairs in Europe, with editions in places like Amsterdam, Utrecht and Barcelona. After a few years of pondering in search of a different model, we came back with Growmed 2012. This is a new proposal that brings a medical perspective to hemp fairs, more in touch with its actual use within society and going beyond the already outdated discourse on the industrial applications of hemp.
Growmed Style
Since its first edition, Growmed has become a reference point among European medicinal fairs. In this show we wanted to present a professional, clean and well-organised concept that looks toward the future and that can be easily assimilated into society. This is why we chose Feria de Valencia. The fair is located on the third floor of the main building, a prime and spacious location with all the necessary amenities for exhibitors and visitors.
Plagron: main sponsor
Plagron is another company that is committed to creating a serious, professional and forward-thinking brand. They are convinced that their high-quality vermicompost land and their algae-based biofertilisers are ideal for medical growers and cultivators who demand the highest quality.

Pleased with its sponsorship of GrowMed 2012, Plagron has decided to become the main sponsor of the 2013 edition. The shared goals of the two companies completely validate this decision. Both the Plagron and Growmed teams expressed their satisfaction with the agreement, as they believe it will enhance the image of their respective brands. "Plagron is a brand with a very clever marketing campaign, which establishes them as a modern, professional brand with a well-looked-after image. At Growmed, we have the same aspirations, so we are very happy for them to be our main sponsor”, said the director of Growmed.
European Product Awards
In the years we had to make do without the Highlife fair, our spirit was kept alive through the European Product Awards, a ceremony held for several years in Amsterdam, during which we selected the best products of each country as well as the best cannabis product in Europe.
Following the success of the last European Product Awards ceremony – an exotic festivity with camels, dancers and fire-eaters – the next edition will be held for the first time at the headquarters of Growmed Valencia, where manufacturers from all over Europe will be exhibiting their products. The selection of finalists will start soon, so contact Growmed if you are a producer or distributor of a product that should be in the running.
Once again, providing medical information will be one of Growmed’s strongest points.
Medical Area
At Growmed, medical cannabis is very important, so a space will be devoted to discussions on the subject by various experts. Doctors and lawyers comprise the main groups of speakers, but we are also inviting various associations and activists to join the discussion.
For two days, the international cannabis guru Jorge Cervantes will also honour us with his presence. He spends part of the year in California and part of the year in Spain, making him the ideal person to explain what is going on in the American medical scene to the European public. Jorge Cervantes will also present the awards ceremony at Growmed 2013.
Rototom/Woodstock Area
The outer corridor surrounding the pavilion will once again become a designated smoking area. Growmed has an agreement with Rototom, the most important reggae festival in Europe; the Rototom team will set up their sound system and give us a preview of Rototom 2013. We will also have an area meant to honour the spirit of the Woodstock festival, also located outside of the pavilion.
This is a brief summary of Growmed 2013. We will announce new confirmations shortly. Go to www.growmed.es for the latest developments.
