Isolate or full spectrum CBD, what's the difference?

CBD is available in various forms, which differ in the way it is taken and how it works. It can be consumed, for example, as flowers or hashish from varieties where CBD is the main cannabinoid, as well as in the form of isolate or full spectrum oil.
CBD isolate
CBD isolate occurs as a white powder or crystals, constituting a raw material for cannabidiol preparations, such as CBD oils. It is obtained by supercritical CO2 extraction, which allows the separation of CBD from other cannabinoids and terpenes.
The isolate does not contain other cannabinoids, terpenes or flavonoids naturally occurring in hemp. It is almost pure CBD, which allows for precise dosing. Isolate powder is used to produce food and CBD oils.
One of the main advantages of isolate is the complete lack of THC, which may be present in full-spectrum oils, flowers or hashish. Thanks to this, using isolate minimizes the risk of a positive saliva test result.
It is also worth mentioning that isolates of other cannabinoids, e.g. THCA, are available, and they are used in the production of medicines, syrups, or jellies.
Full Spectrum CBD
Full-spectrum CBD oils contain not only CBD but also other cannabinoids, including trace amounts of THC ( less than 0.3%). Thanks to this, they work on the principle of the entourage effect - cannabinoids and terpenes work together, enhancing their properties.
In addition to CBD and THC, full-spectrum extracts contain CBG, CBN, CBC and other cannabinoids. Full spectrumextraction methods include primarily supercritical CO2 extraction, but also techniques such as BHO or rosin.
Full-spectrum extracts have a higher cannabinoid content than raw flowers, although the natural proportions are maintained. This means that the effects of these products are closer to that whgich would be induced by the natural plant.
However, it should be remembered that due to the presence of THC, although in trace amounts, full-spectrum oils may give a positive result in saliva tests.
