Edible forms of cannabis can produce effective, long-lasting, and safe effects. Most weed edibles contain a significant amount of THC and are consumed for recreational and medical purposes. They induce a wide range of effects includingrelaxation, euphoria, increased appetite, fatigue, and anxiety. 

What dose is right for me?

Depending on your metabolism, build, genetics, tolerance level, and whether you are taking them on an empty stomach or not, The right dose of edibles can vary for everyone. 

First time taking a weed edible?

Begin with a small dose, 5-10 mg, and wait about 2 hours before taking more. Experiment with various types, brands, and amounts to find your sweet spot for a great experience.  The mantra is always to start low and go slow! 

How Long do Edibles Take to Kick in?

As with the dose, the length of time it takes for edibles to start working varies from person to person. Those with faster metabolisms may feel the effects after just 30 minutes. Those with slower metabolisms may need an hour or more. Oneimportant factor in this depends on whether you take the edible on an empty stomach. If you have not eaten for some timethen you will notice the effects much quicker as the edible will be absorbed by the body quicker. Vice versa with a full stomach, it will be longer before you feel the effects.

What if I eat too many edibles?

The most important thing to remember is to not panic and stay calm. Remember, you can’t overdose on cannabis, Although being too high can cause you to feel a great deal of anxiety and stress remember that you cannot overdose on cannabis. The best thing that you can try and do is ride it out! How do you do this?? As follows.

  • Find a comfortable place to rest where you feel safe
  • Play relaxing music
  • Closing your eyes and try and sleep
  • Try and focus on and control your breathing. Take long, slow, deep breaths, the faster the air the better. Open any windows if possible
  • Drink lots of water, stay hydrated

How long do edibles last?

Again, based on your unique biology, the length of time that edibles last will vary from person to person. Typically, the impacts of edibles are felt for up to 4-5 hours. The peak hit of euphoria will only last a couple of hours, after that, you will probably feel “burn-out” and lethargic for some time longer. 

What if you don't feel the effects after an hour?

Try eating a light snack to get your digestion and gut absorption going. If this doesn't work then try a little more, but only increase dosage gradually.
