Officers, including scenes of crime personnel, were at the scene from about 6pm.

They had executed a warrant and seized the plants from an outbuilding in the rear garden.

An amount of resin, a crossbow and a number of swords were also taken by officers.

They searched the house and, using a sniffer dog, two cars - a silver BMW 3 Series and a Peugeot.

Officers also searched bins outside the property.

At about 7.15pm, a man, aged in his late 40s to early 50s, and a woman aged in her late 40s, were taken away in handcuffs.

From the street, officers wearing blue gloves could be seen in the front bedroom window.
