The Best Cannabis Shows in Europe

Weed festivals are great places to learn more about cannabis, meet like-minded folks, and participate in activities or chill. Virtually all cannabis fairs combine entertainment, education and retail therapy in variable ratios. Some focus on music, whilst others provide all forms of entertainment and enlightenment, from films, cooking, yoga, meditation, and drama. There is also much space for seminars and workshops where the principal plan is education, information and advocacy.

Today, nearly every European country hosts its cannabis-culture festival. Barcelona's most prominent cannabis fair and world cannabis conference is probably the most famous in Europe. It is held every March at the  Fira de Cornellá exhibition centre for at least three days. Spannabis is a full-on festival these days with something for everyone.

Kannasur in Seville, Spain, is held every May at an industrial and medical marijuana fair. You can expect cooking shows, excellent live music performances and plenty of time to shop. The market offers an exhilarating view into the scientific research side of the industry, including processing, technology and advancements in equipment.

Not all 420 festivals are for tourists and end consumers. Cann-Expo in Athens, Greece, is an outstanding global B2B event to popularise and scientifically study medicinal cannabis. More than 500 experts from all areas of the industry, including licensed producers and medical experts, attend in an attempt to improve the medicinal cannabis ecosystem. Events like this are essential for establishing standards and lawful frameworks for the use of medicinal cannabis.

Italy

The Canapa Mundi in Roma Industrial and medical marijuana fair in Naples, Italy, see exhibitors present their concepts for the use of cannabis in varied sectors that include agricultural, medical, textiles, bioconstruction, energy and recreational. The big focus is on new technology and executing an ecological agenda.

Czech Republic

Cannafest in the Czech Republic has been held for over ten years and is another excellent all-around celebration for canna lovers. Shop for smoking and vaping accessories, chill in the reading room or smoking zone, listen to live music or visit the cinema or weed-influenced art exhibitions.

There is also the opportunity to taste some delicious food and educate yourself in the seminar zone on growing techniques, medicinal use and everything in between.

Poland

In Poland, the Kanaba Fest in Poland is worth checking out every May; it brings together exhibitors and combines lifestyle, cooking and culture with a marketplace and workshops.

Germany

Mary Jane Berlin is another big draw and the most prominent cannabis fair in Germany. More than 100 exhibitors worldwide gather for a festival offering a trade fair, food stalls, live concerts, lectures, medical innovations and info on cannabis's less talked about applications, such as cosmetic and skin care and building materials.

Austria

In Austria, the Cultiva Hanfmesse festival takes place in October. Multiple exhibitors, workshops, and unique cannabis-related experiences are mixed with live music, shows, parties and cuisine.

Holland

The Amsterdam Cannabis Expo is a regular on the calendar, taking place every November and is ideal for visiting the latest inventions and creations from over 100 countries. The best of the show lies in the professional dialogues and analysis.

England

An exhaustive look at the entire commercial ecosystem of hemp, cannabis and CBD is delivered by Product Earth Expo-Fest in England. This extraordinary show treats its guests every August at Stoneleigh Park. Learn about the latest varieties, by-products and uses of cannabis.

Lastly, we have Cannabis Europa. First held in 2018 at London's Barbican Centre and then in New York, Toronto, London and Paris.

It's not a traditional expo where you see seedbanks, grow shops and CBD products. It's more of a series of lectures on current world issues, how cannabis fits in, and its impact. You will get the opportunity to hear the views and opinions of many influential people on cannabis.
