Triumphs in the Land of Bicycles
The Medical Cannabis Bike Tour is celebrating another successful mission to spread the word of medical cannabis after MCBT15 rolled across the finish line in Amsterdam. In the process it raised 100,000€ for medical research.
It was the biggest sponsored bike ride in the non-profit organisation's history. There were 80 riders and volunteers taking part, making the 420km journey through Holland, Belgium and Germany over 3 days.
There were inevitable dramas; roads closed on the border between Holland and Germany, cyclists going AWOL in Belgium, Northern European wind and rain. However, there were also inevitable good times as the international group of cannabists and cyclists conquered adversity and triumphed for a great cause.
The thrills and the action can be seen in the exclusive MCBT videos which are being released on the organisation's Youtube channel.
While the tour is over, the race continues... the organisation needs to raise another 85,000€ to run the medical trials this Autumn. The Medical Cannabis Bike Tour has launched a crowd funding campaign through Walacea and urges individuals to donate and help fund ground breaking independent medical research into cannabis as a potential cancer cure.
Medical Cannabis Bike Tour founder, Luc Krol, said:?? "We had a superb MCBT in Holland, Germany and Belgium this year. No big mountains this time, but no less fun! The Dutch cycle paths were great, the scenery fantastic and the enthusiasm of riders and volunteers... amazing! We were a very large international group which came together to function as one organic being, determined to pedal on for a good cause."
