The iconic rapper teamed up with Priscilla Vilchis, the self-proclaimed "Hollyweedqueen" to launch a new premium cannabis brand called Aphrodisiak. The two queens are taking over Las Vegas and their message is loud and clear: they want to break barriers as female entrepreneurs in a male-dominated cannabis industry.
Vilchis launched Premium Produce back in 2013. She is known for her work to break down barriers and empower women to thrive in the cannabis sector. Her enterprise, Premium Produce, also takes pride in being responsible and putting the health and safety of cannabis users and patients first.
Lil Kim's partnership with Vilchis will oversee the launch of a "premium new cannabis brand" called Aphrodisiak. The meet and greet event takes place at Planet 13 in Las Vegas, on Friday, May 5. Planet 13 is the world's largest dispensary.
The brand will start with a variety of strains and cannabis-infused products "designed to enhance intimacy and pleasure." At the same time, Aphrodisiak seeks to empower women and people of color.
Aphrodisiak will cater to a "diverse range of consumers, including those seeking relief from pain and anxiety, as well as those looking to enhance their sexual experiences," according to a press release.
"As female entrepreneurs, we know how important it is to support other women and marginalized groups," said Lil Kim. "We're proud to be part of a brand that is not only providing amazing products but also making a difference in the world."
"We want to create a brand that empowers and uplifts women and promotes healthy, enjoyable relationships," said Vilchis, who was the first licensed female minority in L.A. County and the youngest minority to receive a license in Nevada. "We're proud to partner with Lil Kim, who shares our vision for creating a brand that is inclusive, empowering, and forward-thinking."
David Farris, Planet 13 VP of Sales & Marketing also came forward with a statement. "We're thrilled to be working with legendary artist Lil' Kim and her female entrepreneur partners on launching Aphrodisiak at Planet 13," he said.
