'£500,000 of cannabis' found on lorry at Newport
Gwent Police says a HGV truck stopped at the Coldra Roundabout at Newport resulted in the seizure of cannabis with a street value of between £400,000-£500,000.
Gwent Police says a HGV truck stopped at the Coldra Roundabout at Newport resulted in the seizure of cannabis with a street value of between £400,000-£500,000.
The incident happened on Tuesday January 13th when the lorry was stopped at about 5.30pm by officers from the Regional Task Force, supported by Gwent Police Officers.
A substantial amount of Cannabis was seized from the vehicle and a 46 year old Blackwood man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. The man has been bailed pending further inquiries.
