The Perfect Grow Episode 4, Automation
The fourth episode of The Perfect Grow season is about automation. Max Majot explains that you can leave almost everything to an automated control system.
He talks us through the Trolmaster system, which allows you to run pretty much everything automatically. Watering, temperature, light conditions, humidity... all in one system. Meaning you don't even have to be there a lot of the time. There is also a camera in the tent, which you can use to keep an eye on things from anywhere.
You can also receive all climate and conditions information, including the exact temperature readings or humidity, on your phone if you so wish. Otherwise, the respective values can, of course, also be read on the device itself.
This system records the moisture in the soil, for example, and waters it a little if necessary. You can set everything up with the Device Station Kit/Tent X Control. And, as already mentioned, you don't have to be there. Simply set all control requirements (temperature, humidity, light, etc.) on this control device.
Then there is the EC Fan Control Adapter, or the Full Spectrum Quantum Sensor which checks and regulates lighting conditions in the tent. Other components include the inline EC/PH temperature sensor. This sensor measures the temperature, but also the pH value of the water and the level of nutrients in it. The substrate sensor, which is simply plugged into the grow box, measures the moisture in the soil and tells us when it is time to water.
The Trolmaster system is a great help if you don't want to leave too much to chance and if you can't or don't want to be present on-site all the time. In any case, it is almost certain that you will achieve the desired results with this system. Let's face it a good harvest is what it's all about.
It is not exactly a cheap option though. You will be paying around 1000 euros for the whole system, the individual components cost between 60 and 300 euros. You may be able to go without one or two parts, but in general, it makes sense to get the complete Trolmaster system as it will be 1000 euros well invested.
