Map: This is where you can legally buy marijuana
Jamaica decriminalised cannabis today, but where in the world can you walk into a shop and buy a joint like it was a cigarette?

Jamaican authorities today ruled to decriminalise the possession and smoking of marijuana.
Yesterday, Alaska became the third US state to legalise cannabis for recreational use.
It seems the last few months have seen a rising trend in the decriminalisation of cannabis. But where in the world can you simply walk down the street smoking a joint, fully sanctioned by the law?
Surprisingly few places, it turns out.
Those countries:
- The Netherlands is not news to anyone
- Those US states that have been in the news
- Uruguay's left-wing president legalised it last year
- North Korea
North Korea?
Yes, North Korea - defectors from the secretive state report that you can freely buy cannabis. One expert says that marijuana grows wild in North Korea and that the government quietly exports the drug to get foreign currency.
The map of decriminalised marijuana is a lot bigger.
These are the places where possession of marijuana is still against the law, but you won't go to jail for it.
Sometimes that's limited to medicinal use, and sometimes you'll get a fine. Decriminalisation means you won't get a criminal charge.
Surprisingly, decriminalising drugs doesn't lead to more use
