Police 'sniff out' cannabis at property on Holderness Crescent, Beverley
A LARGE amount of cannabis was found at a property in Beverley after police detected a strong smell of the drug in the area.
Officers attended a property on Holderness Crescent on Friday evening, following a strong smell of the drug.
Police searched the house and discovered a large amount of cannabis and money in a safe.
The street value of the drugs found is not yet known.
Four men – aged 18, 41, 48 and 52 – and a 46-year-old woman were all arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and money laundering offences.
They have all been released on police bail pending further enquiries until April.
Police are urging members of the public to assist them in tackling cannabis cultivation by reporting any information they may have.
