A PCSO sniffed out cannabis farm
600 plants were found in a building next to a conservative club which are estimated to be worth £300,000.
Local Policing Inspector Simon Merrick, said: “I want my officers to be out and about in the community. I want them to be vigilant and to act on their suspicions.
“Steve did a grand job on Thursday and his actions have helped put this drugs factory out of business.”
“If he could smell it, others could too. We had no calls over the past few days so it does stress the importance that people should report the smell of cannabis.
“Whether it’s one person using the drug or a factory producing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth, we'll send somebody to investigate."
