Cannabis found in former prison officers loft

Mr Fairclough who formerly worked at a prison was arrested by police that attended the address for another matter after one of the officers noticed signs of damp on the ceiling and a strong smell.
A court spokesperson said - “You understand the court takes a serious view of people who produce controlled drugs. It is quite clear this was a relatively sophisticated cannabis set up because the loft had been converted or adapted".
