(DERRY TOWNSHIP, PA) Authorities say they busted a suspected weekly operation that allegedly shipped marijuana to a Westmoreland County home.
According to police, the high-grade marijuana was mailed to Patricia Hancock's Derry Township home from California.
Police told Channel 11's Joe Holden they were tipped off to the weekly deliveries by an informant.
Police brought K-9 Officer Blade to the post office, where investigators said the dog indicated drugs were present in two packages. Police then tracked the packages to the address, and arrested Hancock.
"She claimed that her address was being used for this and she claimed she was being rewarded for letting these things be delivered by either money or an ounce of marijuana from what was being delivered," said Derry Police Chief Randy Glick.
Investigators have charged Hancock with possession with the intent to deliver, believing she was the intended recipient of the pot delivery.
"They will actually send it to you, give you an unspecified amount of time to sell the marijuana and then send the money back to California," Glick said.
