On Wednesday, August 6, over 400 pounds of Cannabis, three vehicles and $100,000 in cash were seized in a drug raid in Lawrence, near Indianapolis, Indiana. According to IndyStar, the bust is the largest of its kind in the town's history.
The Metro Drug Task Force joined the Lawrence Police conducted the morning raid. Capt. Gary Woodruff of the Lawrence Police Department told IndyStar that a local resident had lodged a complaint with the police about an unusual amount of foot traffic at a location on Pendleton Pike.
At the scene, where locals also reported the smell of weed lingering, several suspects were arrested. They were identified as David Miller, 31, of Lawrence; Jamie Mueller, 30, from Indianapolis and Denyran Calvin, 33, of Fort Wayne.
