How to Give High Fashion a Whole New Meaning

There is something trippy in the air — and not just because April 20, or 4/20, is a bit like Christmas for pot smokers. With a growing number of states allowing medical and recreational use of marijuana, cannabis culture is moving into the mainstream. Fashion, though, has been on a real trip for some time. Groovy patterns, 1970s throwbacks, elevated drug paraphernalia and New Age-inflected styles have emerged as unlikely must-have items of the season. And you don’t have to text your delivery service to appreciate them.

Hot Spot for the New Hippie

Neo-flower children have a chic new outpost to shop: Ulla Johnson, purveyor of billowy bohemian frocks and pretty peasant blouses, has opened her first boutique, at 15 Bleecker Street. The airy space, with front and back parlors, is the ideal setting in which to stock up on staples for your very own Summer of Love.

New Age for a New Generation

The Los Angeles cool kids Remington Guest and Heather Haber met in an UberPool beneath a full moon. That set the tone for their venture, Advisory Board Crystal, an e-commerce platform with a small clothing offering that fuses New Age spirituality (yes, crystals are involved) with a streetwise sensibility. This month they introduced Abc. Lab, an extension of the brand, which will be available at Bergdorf Goodman. Whether you believe in the power of crystals or not, the groovy unisex styles will surely attract the right kind of attention.

Paraphernalia With Style in Mind

Get the most out of your stash while on the go with Alexander Wang’s leather lighter case, which is attached to a slender chain and comes handily equipped with a roach clip.

Fashion That Cleans Up

Everyone — stoners, slackers or simply the overscheduled — can agree that dry cleaning is a buzz kill. Which is why the collaboration between Net-a-Porter and the Japanese label Adeam, released on Wednesday, is so genius: The versatile five-piece collection is machine-washable, without particularly looking like it.

What’s Your Bag?

For her second capsule collection for Salvatore Ferragamo, which will be introduced on Thursday, Sara Battaglia put a spin on the house’s signature craftsmanship and zigzag motifs. This trippy bag could induce psychedelic flashbacks.

Special Treats in California

Beboe, founded by the celebrity tattoo artist Scott Campbell and the fashion industry vet Clement Kwan, would like to think of itself as the gold standard of marijuana paraphernalia. With chicly designed packaging and a focus on high-quality ingredients, its offerings, like these pastilles containing five milligrams of Sativa blend THC, are a big step up from the goofy wares on display at your local head shop.

Beboe cannabis pastilles, $25 at beboe.com. Beboe does not ship outside of Southern California and requires a California medical marijuana card.
