Henk IJpelaar, co-founder and sales director of the renowned fertilizer company HESI, has passed away, leaving a profound void in the cultivation industry and in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have shared a journey with him.

Henk’s journey in plant nutrition began three decades ago alongside his partner, Siglinde. Combining Siglinde’s scientific background and laboratory expertise with Henk’s vision, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit, the pair launched a project born from a genuine desire to help growers achieve the best possible results.
From the fusion of their names—HEnk and SIglinde—HESI was born, evolving over the years into an international benchmark for quality, innovation, and accessibility in the fertilizer and additive market.
