Street cleaners picked up some unusual garden waste on their rounds when black binliners left in the middle of a street were found to be full of cannabis plants.
Street cleaners picked up some unusual garden waste on their rounds when black binliners left in the middle of a street were found to be full of cannabis plants.
The council cleaners discovered the bin bags in Himley Road, Tooting, while doing their rounds for flytips yesterday morning.
But instead of the usual cardboard boxes, builder's rubble or unwanted furniture they found binbags full of cannabis plants.
The nine binliners are now being examined by officers at Tooting police station.
