A quarter of a million pounds worth of drugs were seized in raids across Cardiff.
Officers raided homes in Fairwater, Canton, Llanishen, Llanedeyrn and Rumney on Wednesday and seized more than 50kg of cannabis with a value of about £250,000 and £120,000 in cash.
Six men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs across South Wales and money laundering.
These include a 52 year-old man from Fairwater, a 25 year-old man from Llanishen, two men aged 52 and 62 from Canton, a 62 year-old man from Rumney and 45 year-old man from Llanedeyrn who remain in custody.
Detective Inspector Tudor Thomas, from the Force Intelligence & Organised Crime Unit, said: "These arrests send another strong message to organised criminals that we will target you and look at every opportunity to disrupt the availability of illicit drugs and seize criminal finances and assets."
