Police followed a suspicious vehicle to Oakferrers Farm in Piltdown, near Nutley, where they discovered 920 cannabis plants at about 2pm on Monday, December 10.
Two men were arrested for cannabis production when they got out of the car, and plants worth an estimated £270,000 were discovered in containers at the site.
The men, a 21-year-old from Warninglid and a 30-year-old from Kent, have been questioned and bailed until March 7.
Sussex Police's Detective Sergeant Julie Dow said: "This was good work by officers who followed the vehicle and found this cannabis farm. The plants have a street value of £270,000 and we have made two arrests."
