Police found cannabis plants

Police found cannabis plants Kent Police is appealing for information after a cannabis factory worth hundreds of thousands of pounds was discovered in Gravesend. Officers received a report that cannabis was being grown in an area near the Denton estate on Dering Way on October 8. Patrols attended the scene and discovered a small patch of cannabis plants. However, evidence suggested that there may be more and the police helicopter was drafted in. The helicopter conducted a search and a large crop was found in marshland. The plants - estimated to be around 300 in total - were destroyed at the scene. Detective Sergeant Aaron Watkin said: “Some of these plants were eight feet tall and have obviously been grown with the intention of distributing drugs on the street. “The estimated value of this growth is around £200,000. We are currently following up lines of enquiry to identify those responsible and I would appeal to anybody who knows anything about this cultivation to come forward.” Read the original story here.
