The NHS have prescribed the first medical cannabis to a child who is 11 years old
The young boy suffers from a severe form of epilepsy and was given cannabis CBD by a doctor in the US where the drug is widely available to both recreational and medical users.
Ms Cadwell who is the mother of the child said - "The results were incredible so I asked my GP in Northern Ireland to prescribe more when it ran out".
The CBD cannabis oil was supplied by a Dublin start-up company called GreenLight Medicines.
