Motorist finds cannabis plants scattered on Peterborough road

It is not clear how or why the plants came to be on the road.
Police said they have investigated the unusual find but say until they find the owners it will be difficult to take any further action.
It is understood the cannabis plants were found by a passing motorist who alerted police.
A police spokesman said: "We did attend the scene.
"There was no further action with this, unless any new information comes to light and enables us to identify the owner of the cannabis."
