Dozens of cannabis plants were seized by police following a drugs raid in Sunbury over the weekend.

Officers discovered the cannabis factory when they searched a property in Staines Road West on Saturday (April 5).

Photos emerged over the weekend showing more than 160 plants in just one room of the property. A second room was also full of plants.

On Monday, Surrey Police confirmed a youth had been charged with production of cannabis and abstracting (stealing) electricity, following the execution of a warrant.

The youth was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday April 17.
