Will using molasses clog up my hydroponic reservoir drip system unit? My plant is four weeks from harvest. I read that molasses puts the final touch for maximum yield. The article said to use 4 grams per 1 liter water. Would you suggest using the molasses while growing hydroponically?

Placing molasses in any kind of reservoir system results in fermentation as yeast and other organisms feast on the high-energy sugars. This can cause an unhealthy situation for the roots, since the organisms use up oxygen as they burn the sugar and create CO2.
As the yeast grow, they form foamy globs that can clog up the drip emitters. Molasses also raises the pH of the water.
There are a number of commercial products that are recommended for hydroponic systems that contain sugars but won't cause infections or clog up the plumbing. This is a safer way to add carbs to your hydro system.
