WHEN police officers saw a man walk faster when he saw them, they stopped and searched him, finding cannabis.

Joseph Saxton, 20, of George Street, Mablethorpe admitted possessing cannabis when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates Court.

Paul Wood, prosecuting, said that on the afternoon of March 6, police officers saw Saxton in Knoll Street in Mablethorpe.

When he saw them, they noticed that he started walking faster and also tucked his hands into his waistband.

They stopped him and when they searched him found two wraps of cannabis in his possession.

Mr Wood said Saxton had been cautioned for similar offences in both 2011 and 2012.

Saxton was fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
