Police officers raided an address in Hull after a suspected drug deal was seen and reported by a member of public.
Three men in total were found in the flat and amount of various illegal drugs were also seized including five small wraps of cannabis that were removed from a dogs mouth.
The judge told one of the men after ordering him to do community service: "Don't think for a moment that this is the end of it, Mr Wardell, because if you don't do that work you will go straight to prison. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I understand completely," said Wardell.
