An investigation has been launched after a man was found hanged at a possible cannabis farm on the borders of Hounslow and Osterley.

The man, believed by police to be in his mid-20s, was found by police on Friday evening in the first-floor bedroom of a house in Spring Grove Crescent.

Officers also found a 'large quantity' of cannabis plants growing in various rooms at the property, to which they were called to reports of a fatality at 7pm.

The man's death was initially being treated by police as 'unexplained'.

A post-mortem held yesterday (Sunday, August 3) at Fulham Mortuary revealed the cause of death was hanging. It is not known whether the man's death is now being treated as non-suspicious.

A neighbour today told how she had alerted police and the letting agent months ago about her suspicions the property was being used to cultivate drugs.

The man's death and the presence of cannabis plants is being investigated by Hounslow Police.

Police last month raided a third cannabis farm in Osterley and Isleworth in the space of just over a month. They estimated the plants found at the three properties were worth a total of up to £1.2 million.
