TWO people from Llanelli have been fined for the possession of cannabis.

Jonathan Patrick Thorne, 38, and Natalie Dee Wilson, 26, had been arrested together on June 18.
Thorne, of New Dock Road, admitted possession of 0.5 grams of cannabis and 8 grams of cannabis resin, while Wilson, of Llys yr Orsaf admitted having a small amount in her wallet.
Prosecuting Peter Lloyd said the amount Thorne had in his possession was worth between £80 and £100 though this was disputed by Thorne's solicitor David Elvy.
"They were both kept in custody for a week on these holding charges," said Mr Elvy.
"When police had concluded their investigation and found nothing further the charges were brought for the holding offences."
Magistrates fined the pair £65.
