A MAN has been arrested after a drugs raid at a property in Dorking.
Surrey Police seized a "large amount" of what they suspect was the Class B drug cannabis, which was not in plant form.
Officers from the Mole Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team entered the residential property in South Terrace during inquiries into another incident.
The suspected drug was found on January 29.
Mole Valley Neighbourhood Inspector Andy Rundle said: "The local team had one large cannabis seizure.
"We are sending the message that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.
"This is another example of the community giving us information to tackle crimes.
"We are only as good as our community; their information and support helps make sure we succeed."
The latest statistics from Police.uk revealed that in December last year, there were just three incidents of drugs possession, supply or production in Dorking.
Two of these were in or around Vaughan Way and the other one was in or around Station Road.
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the drugs find at South Terrace. He has been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
