A 48-year-old man has been jailed for three years after pleading guilty to trying to smuggle cannabis resin into the UK.
Seamus Keenan, from Newry, County Down, was stopped by Border Force officers at Dover's Eastern Docks on January 31 last year.
They searched the Irish-registered vehicle and around 107 kilos of cannabis resin with a street value of around £300,000 was discovered.
Keenan pleaded guilty at Canterbury Crown Court.
Malcolm Bragg, from Border Force, said: "Border Force is at the forefront of the fight to stop drugs entering the UK.
"We are determined to protect society from this activity which can have such a destructive impact on local communities as well as individuals.
