A suspected cannabis factory was found in the wake of a house fire near Wrexham.
A suspected cannabis factory was found in the wake of a house fire near Wrexham.
The blaze is believed to have started in the roof of a house in Market Street, Rhosllanerchrugog, just before 06:00 BST on Wednesday.
It spread to the roofs of adjoining terraced houses and took until nearly 09:30 BST to put out.
Investigators found a number cannabis plants following the fire, which forced neighbours to leave their homes.
No-one was injured and police and the fire service have launched a joint investigation into the fire and the discovery of the cannabis.
A spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said there was fire and smoke damage to the loft and first floor and minor damage to a ceiling on the ground floor.
Anyone with information about the cannabis plants is asked to call North Wales Police.
