Property boss makes shocking discovery on routine visit to Jewellery Quarter premises
A major haul of cannabis plants was discovered by a landlord when he made a routine check on his property in Hockley.
The owner of the premises in Warstone Parade East in Hockley made the shocking find when he visited the industrial unit in the Jewellery Quarter on an inspection visit.
More than 530 plants were seized from the unit where they were being cultivated. It is estimated the haul has a street value of about £250,000.
The plants were taken by members of the West Midlands Police Cannabis Disposal team and destroyed.
No arrests have yet been made
