Police officers have discovered more than 1,000 cannabis plants in the upper floors of a large building in the city centre of Derby.
Tracey Harding who is the owner of Sid's Furniture store on the ground floor said:
"I thought something strange was happening up there so I phoned the police. That part of the building has absolutely nothing to do with us. We're shocked and stunned at what has been found there. It is appalling. I can't believe we have been working just feet away from it all. I think they have been working at night when nobody is about. I am not aware of people going up there while we have been there - I thought it was derelict".
