Europe's Biggest Cannabis Sporting Event

Set To Begin June 11 -13th.

The Medical Cannabis Bike Tour returns for 2015! With riders from all over Europe, the USA, Canada and Mexico taking part, the MCBT promises to be the biggest cannabis sporting event of the summer.

The most important Medical Cannabis Bike Tour to date begins in June. The money it raises will fund historic medical trials using cannabis as a first line therapy in the treatment of cancer patients.  

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors from the cannabis industry, the bike tour has raised €200,000 towards the estimated €285,000 costs of clinical trials. The MCBT is also asking individuals around the world to join the adventure and donate via a crowd sourcing campaign.??On June 11 2015:?-  80 riders and volunteers will set off on a cycling adventure through Northern Europe.?- On the same day, MCBT launches an international crowd sourcing campaign through Walacea.

MCBT 2015 Details ?Start: Maastricht, Holland (11/6/2015)?End: Amsterdam (13/6/2015)?Distance: 420km (approx 140km per day)?Public Arrival: 14/06/2015 Cannabis Liberation Day @ Flevopark, Amsterdam. 15.00 (Medal ceremony 15.45).

The aim of MCBT15 is:?1) To ride 420km through Belgium, Germany and Holland in 3 days, raising €100,000 in sponsorship.?2) To raise €85,000 via the crowd source campaign.?3) To raise enough money to begin comprehensive clinical trials this Autumn, using cannabinoids on brain cancer patients.??The trials are due to begin in the Autumn and run by scientists from The Complutense University in Madrid and GEINO (The Spanish Group of Neuro-oncological Investigation). They will take place in 3-4 Spanish hospitals and focus on 30-40 patients who have been diagnosed with glioma (brain cancer).  ??Walacea is a crowd sourcing organisation that 'backs science you believe in'. It identifies scientists and organisations doing important work and helps them crowdfund their research. Their last campaign funded the world's first imaging study of the brain on LSD.
