You can heat marijuana to 750 and it will not lose the THC and other cannabinoids it contains. However, the terpenes, the odor molecules that determine the personality of the high, whether its inquisitive, happy or couch-lock, for instance. Some of these evaporate when the temperature rises above 220. All of them evaporate before THC. So I would not use a hot oven to dry the bud. Instead, I would place the bud on top of an appliance such as a radio DVD player or other electrical device that produces only a moderate amount of heat. The bud will take a little longer to dry but more of the terpenes will remain and the bud will provide a more satisfying high.
