In this new 2016 growing season, the feminised seed bank Sweet Seeds takes pleasure in presenting two new plants that will hopefully gain the favour of all cannabis lovers. For this new season, we present two new varieties, i.e. photoperiod Crystal Candy® (strain SWS58) and another auto-flowering plant, Blow Mind Auto® (strain SWS57).At Sweet Seeds we pioneered the research and development of modern feminised autos. In the latest seasons, our development efforts were mainly centred on improving our offer of auto-flowering plants by introducing new genetics, aromas, and large-sized autos such as the “Big Devil®” or “XL” families, and by developing red-flowered autos such as “The Red Family”. We also devoted our energies to expanding our quickly blooming photo-period family, “F1 Fast Version®”.
Crystal Candy®
A feminised, photoperiod strain. One of the main characteristics of this new genetics is its exquisite and curious aroma. In their long and constant search for new genetics and aromas, our Sweet Seeds breeders introduced élite clones with a terrific candy-shop aroma, a balanced mixture of sweet and fruity smells, with aromatic fruit-gumdrop and chewing-gum tones, and a few exotic touches calling to mind sour strawberry and ripe melon. Crystal Candy® is the end result of a programme developed by Sweet Seeds’ I+D+I department to create hybrid genetics by using aromatic élite clones combined with “secret ingredients”.
Another key characteristic of this plant is its high resin production with extremely dense, king-sized trichomes whose big heads reach out to flowers, through nearby leaves, like snowy mountain chains. The genetics of this plant is an extremely vigorous and productive Indica-Sativa poly-hybrid. Plants branch out on the sides with a certain degree of flexibility making them suitable for SCROG growing.
They also produce a strong central stem and buds are big enough to grow into large bunches of flowers that will ultimately cover branches at the end of blooming. Blow Mind Auto® A feminised 4th generation auto-flowering strain. For the development of this plant we used a famous, much appreciated élite clone of Amnesia Haze known as “Amnesia Cordobesa”.
To introduce auto genes into this genetics, we used selected cuttings of our 3rd generation S.A.D. Sweet Afghani Delicious Auto® (SWS24), contributing a sweet musky background smell in addition to the required auto-flowering genes. This can also be considered a tall auto plant, with final sizes between 60 and 120 cm. Harvesting takes place 8 to 9 weeks after seed germination and the appearance of cotyledons. Blow Mind Auto® genetics is very resinous and productive. Its resin has a pleasant and very complex and deep incense smell, with sweet, musky tones and touches of lemon, wood and dried fruits.
Other novelties:
To meet the requirements of collective seed purchases and cannabis users’ associations, in the past 2015 season we presented new package formats of 25 and 100 seeds. These were in tremendously high demand among our customers, mainly due to the cheap unit price of seeds. Otherwise said, high-quality, branded feminised seeds were offered at the lowest market price.
Among the items available in 25-seed and 100-seed packages are some of our most famous and appreciated classics, such as Cream Caramel® (SWS04), Cream Caramel Auto® (SWS22), Green Poison® (SWS14), Big Devil XL Auto® (SWS28), etc. This season Sweet Seeds increased the number of strains available in these formats.
Finally note that, in the previous 2014 season we also presented our “Sweet Mix Auto” package, to offer inexpensive auto seeds of superior quality suited to meet demand in this current crisis situation. To complete our offer of low-priced high quality seeds, again in the 2015 season we presented a new “Sweet Mix Feminised” package with an assortment of 10 seeds, randomly selected among all Sweet Seeds photoperiod strains.
