ames Robert Bridgewater today (Friday January 3) pleaded ‘guilty' to being knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of the prohibition on the importation of goods, relating to the 150g consignment intercepted on arrival in the UK, in May.
He also admitted supplying a class B controlled drug, between March 30 and May 24, plus simple possession of a quantity of cannabis.
Further matters of supplying and possessing a class B drug are expected to be taken into consideration at sentence.
Ian West, prosecuting, told the court: "There's no report on him as he's a man of previous good character with only one reprimand for assault."
John Turner, for Bridgewater, asked for preparation of a pre-sentence report on his client by the Probation Service.
Agreeing, Recorder Sophie Drake told the defendant: "You have now pleaded guilty to the three counts on the indictment and I note there are two other matters to be taken into consideration.
"I'll adjourn until the end of the month, but you should not take that as any indication as to what the sentence may be."
Twenty-year-old Bridgewater, of Langdale Avenue, Crook, County Durham, was bailed to return for sentence on Tuesday January 28.
