Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has defended herself after her drug scandal.
The actress - who had previously told fans that she doesn't 'take drugs' - was pictured in February smoking cannabis in Amsterdam's notorious Bulldog cafe but now says it was all blown out of proportion.
Insisting that she has nothing to apologise, the star told The Sun: "I was 21 and I went to Amsterdam with my friends. There are so many people doing things ten times worse than me but I got slammed for it."
The actress who plays lesbian Sophie Webster in the ITV soap added: "I was in a country where the law is different and lots of people do it. We also did cultural things, like visit Anne Frank's house. But obviously none of that is mentioned."
At the time of the scandal, an eye-witness told the Sunday Mirror: "She was smoking it in full view of anyone who wanted to watch.
"She seemed totally relaxed and not bothered at all about who could see her.
"She was so casual about it that if you didn't know it was a joint, you would have thought she was just smoking a cigarette."
The Netherlands city, where cannabis and prostitution is legal, is famous for its hundreds of coffeeshops where the drug is smoked freely.
Wearing a back-to-front baseball cap, Brooke could be seen from behind giggling with her friends as they took turns to smoke the reefer, puffing clouds of the pungent smoke into the air.
In a previous interview, Brooke denied ever taking drugs, saying: "I've never ever taken them. They can put you in a situation that wrecks your life and the lives of those around you.
