A CANNABIS farm was discovered by cops after they were called to deal with a dog which had escaped from the property.
Police made the find at Henderson Way, in Kempston, on Saturday afternoon when neighbours became suspicious.
Around 80 plants of different maturity were uncovered in three growing tents in the garage and bedrooms along with a large amount of cash, drug related paraphernalia, an air weapon and a machete.
A 30 year-old-man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested at a different location in Kempston and were questioned before being released on police bail.
Chief Inspector Julian Frost of the local policing team is urging members of the community to contact Bedfordshire Police if they have seen any suspicious activity in the area or have information about the supply of drugs.
He said: "Bedfordshire Police is committed to the fight against drugs and we will do all that we can to prosecute those involved in producing and selling them across the county.
"We will continue to use the very valuable information that is supplied by local communities to disrupt those people who continue to cause misery for residents by selling drugs.
"I would urge anyone who has any information about drug related offences, to come forward and talk to us."
