History…

The concept to form a Cup, presenting the best Swiss grown cannabis, was actually born in a meeting of the Swiss Hemp Coordination (Schweizer Hanfkoordination) in 1998. The first CannaSwissCup was initiated right in the same year and could proudly present six different outdoor sorts of cannabis. The awards show took place in springtime 1999, in the Stufenbau of Ittigen/Swiss, along with the first Swiss Hemp Days, and was a cool event with good music, bars, sales stalls and no wonder a lot of smoke… The various outdoor sorts of cannabis were nominated by some jury members according the taste as well as the appearance. Due to the big success, the next Cup was organised already in the following year, with eight different sorts. The referring awards show took place again along with the Swiss Hemp Days, but then as a kind of supporting programme for the first Swiss hemp fair, with exhibitors from Swiss and abroad. Subsequently, in 2001, the Swiss Hemp Days completely turned into the international hemp fair, CannaTrade, successfully held in the Exhibition Centre BEA Expo in Bern/Swiss. CannaTrade.ch is meanwhile the eldest, still existing hemp fair in the world. Even the Cup has still been organised and hit its peak by 12 different sorts, outdoor grown. But the increasing repressions in the beginning of this century made the organisation of this event more and more impossible and the CannaSwissCup felt into oblivion…

until 2016, when innovative Swiss growers launched legal cannabis flowers as substitutes for tobacco on the Swiss market.

Faced to the immense diversity of legal cannabis flowers, the revival of the CannaSwissCup was beyond question but also because of the growers’ positive feedback, we gladly announce:

CannaSwissCup 2017 will present 18 growers and 35 different sorts in total.

Jury-Boxes in a limited edition are available from now!

On buying a CannaSwissCup Jury-Box you become a member of the jury and are authorised to nominate the enclosed sorts of cannabis concerning their “appearance“ and ”taste”. Each jury member takes automatically part in the big drawing and gets two 3-Day-Tickets for the upcoming CannaTrade 2018 on top!

Important:

For legal reasons, we only send Jury-Boxes within Switzerland. Orders from abroad can therefore not be included. We also take the youth protection quite seriously and sell boxes only to adults, from the age of 18. Ordered boxes will be sent at the end of January 2018. The attached CannaSwissCup-Ticket confirms your jury membership and means also the authorization to nominate your favoured grass of 2017 in the given categories «Indoor», «Outdoor» and «Greenhouse».
