Police were informed of a suspicious smell by an electrical engineer who was on a routine maintenance visit to a nearby property. Around 100 plants were found at various stages of growth throughout a number of rooms at an address in Birmingham City centre.
Police tweeted - "The 3 rooms used for cannabis cultivation were overlooking the busy City Arcade and Union Street in Birmingham City Centre. An electrical engineer smelt cannabis whilst on a routine call out at the address following a large amount of electricity usage."
