Police have seized a large cannabis plant from a home in Mid Devon.
The leafy shrub was growing in a domestic pot.
A passerby said: "I couldn't believe the size of it. You don't expect this sort of thing to happen around here."
Another onlooker said: "That's what you call a money tree. I bet someone's not happy."
Mid Devon police seized the plant from a house in Copplestone.
An officer involved in the action said: "We will deal with all reports of cultivation seriously and will deal with the offenders positively."
Police want to remind the public that it is illegal to grow banned substances even if they are unintended for use.
