More than 1,000 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of £1.5 million have been seized by police in Waltham Abbey.  


More than 1,000 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of £1.5 million have been seized by police in Waltham Abbey.

 

Two men have been charged by police following the discovery. 

Officers went to an industrial unit at Meridian Business Park, Fleming Road shortly after noon yesterday (Tuesday October 21).

More than 1,700 mature plants, 2,000 seedlings and an extensive range of hydroponic equipment were uncovered in the building.

Romario Lila, 20, and Shkelzen Kojku, 25, both of no fixed address, have been charged with producing cannabis.

They were detained in police custody to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court later today (Wednesday, October 22).
