The Chairman of Banbridge Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), Councillor Seamus Doyle, has praised the efforts of the police and the public in Rathfriland following a recent cannabis find.
The Chairman of Banbridge Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), Councillor Seamus Doyle, has praised the efforts of the police and the public in Rathfriland following a recent cannabis find.
He said, "I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the local PSNI Community Policing Team and vigilant members of the Rathfriland community who together have been involved in the successful seizure of a significant number of cannabis plants in the town.
"There's no doubt that this find was destined for the streets of Rathfriland and further afield.
"It's good to see that the police have intervened to prevent the sale of this noxious weed to our vulnerable young people."
