A man who was jailed for 4 years for growing and selling cannabis has been told by the court to pay £21,000 or face a longer period in jail.

DC Yvonne Barwani, from the West Midlands Police Economic Crime Team, said: “It was found that Mr Berry had financially gained from his criminal activity and after checking through records we discovered he had money in both the buildings he owned.

“Berry tried to put one up for sale but we placed a restraint on his finances to prevent the sale.”

DC Barwani added: “If Berry doesn’t pay the money he owes within three months, he will have another 12 months added to the prison sentence he is currently serving. The debt will not be wiped until he has paid it.”
